Since 2011, SA Vampyre News has been providing news to the local VC about internal and external issues facing the community, and also news about the local community to the international community. As of 27 June 2013, SA Vampyre News will also have an Afrikaans language stablemate by the name of SA Vampyre Nuus.
SA Vampyre Nuus will also use the SAVN acronym, and its main focus will be Vampyre community news presented in Afrikaans, and focusing on interaction with the local (and ex-pat) Afrikaans speaking world on the topic of Vampyrism and related issues.
Links to articles in Afrikaans will also be distributed via the regular channels, and while some overlap will occur in bilingualism, there will be some differences in news coverage and/or articles, topics and blogs. The goal is not to just make a carbon-copy of SAVN English and simply translating everything into Afrikaans – the idea is to slowly develop SAVN Afrikaans into its own identity and brand with its own personality. However, SAVN English has a good formula that has developed over the last few years, and it’s a good place to start!
